High Elm Studio is the trading name of High Elm Productions Ltd (Companies House number: 15336186), an AI implementation agency. We help established businesses find, build and embed AI that earns its place.

what information we collect

When you use our website or chat with our AI assistant, we may collect:

  • Messages you send through the chat interface — including any details you share about your business, challenges, or goals
  • Your name and email address if you choose to share them
  • Basic usage data — which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and what device or browser you use

We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as financial information, health data, or data relating to children).

  • Understand your business situation and respond with a personalised video or message
  • Improve how the website and chat tool work
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to anyone.

how the chat works

Our chat interface is powered by AI. Specifically, we use the Anthropic API (the technology behind Claude) to process and respond to your messages.

This means that messages you send may be processed by Anthropic's systems as part of generating a response. Anthropic's own privacy policy applies to that processing: anthropic.com/privacy.

Your conversation is also reviewed by Neil Summers (founder, High Elm Studio) so that he can follow up with a personalised response.

how long we keep your data

  • Chat conversations: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted
  • Contact information you share: retained for as long as we have an active relationship with you
  • Website analytics: retained for up to 26 months in aggregate form

You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

who we share your data with

We share data only with:

  • Anthropic — to power the chat interface (see above)
  • Netlify — our website host, which may log basic request data
  • Our analytics provider — in anonymised, aggregated form only

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccuracies
  • Delete your data (the right to be forgotten)
  • Object to how we use it
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have handled your data incorrectly: ico.org.uk
